AI Copilot for taxi dispatch software — TaxiCloud AI Copilot.

Your dispatcher's second brain. Built into TaxiCloud taxi dispatch software for UK and Ireland fleets.

TaxiCloud AI Copilot watches every booking, suggests reassignments ranked by ETA and revenue impact, drafts customer SMS, and explains every decision in plain English. Generative, not rule-based — and every action runs through dispatcher one-click approval.

What it is

AI Copilot in plain English.

A live, generative dispatch assistant that observes the live board, ranks possible actions by impact, and writes natural-language explanations for each one. Dispatchers stay in control — Copilot recommends, dispatchers approve.

  • 1Subscribes to the live dispatch state via Reverb WebSockets
  • 2Ranks possible actions by combined ETA and revenue impact
  • 3Writes a one-line plain-English explanation for each suggestion
  • 4Drafts customer-facing SMS when delays cascade into ETA shifts
  • 5Logs every accepted suggestion to the audit trail with rationale

The taxi dispatch problem AI Copilot solves

Most dispatch automation up to now has been rule-based: you write the rules, the system executes them. That breaks the moment reality drifts from rule expectations — flight delays, traffic incidents, no-show drivers, weather. AI Copilot is generative: it observes the actual live state and reasons about it. When LHR T5 slips by 40 minutes, Copilot does not consult a rule — it reasons about which drivers are best repositioned, which passengers need SMS, and which corporate accounts will care most. Every suggestion comes with a plain-English explanation a dispatcher can challenge, edit, or accept with one click.

AI Copilot architecture inside TaxiCloud taxi dispatch software

The architectural choice that matters is dispatcher-in-the-loop. Copilot does not auto-execute by default. Every action surfaces as a suggestion with rationale; dispatchers approve in one click or edit the suggestion. This means Copilot is useful from day one — no rule-tuning period, no auto-execute risk. As confidence builds, dispatchers can enable auto-execute for specific suggestion classes (e.g. SMS drafts on flight delays under 30 minutes). The full audit trail logs every accepted suggestion with rationale for compliance and post-shift review.

AI Copilot operational impact across UK and Ireland fleets

Operational impact across pilot fleets: 38% average dispatcher time saved, 22% reassignment quality lift measured against waiting-time KPIs, 240 suggestions per hour at peak load on a 100-vehicle fleet. The savings compound: dispatchers freed from reactive reassignment work shift focus to higher-leverage tasks — onboarding new drivers, corporate-account follow-ups, multi-base coordination. Copilot is the single most cited reason fleets switch from iCabbi, Autocab, or Cordic.

FAQ

AI Copilot for taxi dispatch — questions answered.

Does AI Copilot auto-dispatch without dispatcher approval?
Not by default. Every Copilot suggestion surfaces with a plain-English explanation; dispatchers approve in one click. As trust builds, specific suggestion classes (low-risk SMS drafts on flight delays, for example) can be configured to auto-execute, but auto-execute is opt-in rather than default. The audit trail logs every accepted suggestion.
What LLM does Copilot use?
Copilot uses a multi-model architecture: a primary commercial LLM for natural-language reasoning, plus a custom fine-tuned reranker for action prioritisation. We do not retain prompts for training, and Pro Ultra customers can opt for regional model routing or self-hosted models for fully in-region inference.
How does Copilot handle privacy and PII?
Customer PII is masked before any data leaves the dispatch boundary for LLM inference. The Copilot reasons about pseudonymous booking IDs, not customer names or contact details. SMS drafts include the customer name, but the draft generation context only sees a placeholder. Pro Ultra can run on dedicated infrastructure where no inference data leaves your tenant.
Can I disable Copilot for specific suggestion classes?
Yes. The Copilot configuration screen lets you enable or disable suggestions per class: reassignments, SMS drafts, terminal-queue updates, no-show predictions, ETA shifts. Each can be set to off, suggest-only, or auto-execute. Granular per-base and per-shift configuration is available on Pro Max.
